What is the DLR test?

The DLR test (officially: "DLR aptitude assessment for pilots") is the standard selection assessment of Lufthansa for applicants to pilot training. It is conducted by the DLR for the European Flight Academy in Hamburg and Zurich — Lufthansa, Lufthansa CityLine, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, SWISS and other group airlines require passing it.

Who needs the DLR test?

If you apply for ATPL training at Lufthansa or one of the group airlines, the DLR test is mandatory. Other European airlines also accept results.

What is tested?

The BU covers ten computer-based test types: WFG, PPT, ENS, KRN, MIC, TVT, SKT, VMC, OWT and RMS. Every test is adaptive on our platform — its difficulty increases with your skill.
